Time to say goodnight. It’s been a really hectic day of sorts.

Jake had an accident today and my have totaled his truck. He is going to be okay as is his best friend that he rear ended. A lesson learned today for him and his friend. Never follow too close. We are just thankful he is okay. That was a scary time for Gwen and I until we got to see him at the hospital. He is going to be sore tomorrow.

Jake is really upset about the accident and his truck. The loss of it an the fact that we care and love him enough to get him something like it. I think that hurt him the most. The loss of something that we gave him. We told him that it can be replaced but he can’t and the fact that he and his friends were okay is all that matters. It was an accident and he learned from it.

I want him and all of you to know that it’s okay to live life fully while you’re here. Experience everything. Take care of yourself and your friends. Have fun, be crazy, be weird.

Go out and screw up! You’re going to anyway, so you might as well enjoy the process. Take the opportunity to learn from your mistakes for they are temporary and to learn from them; find the cause of your problems as they appear and eliminate them.

Don’t try to be perfect; just be an excellent example of being human.

Good night and God bless each of you and all of those to whom you are connected!

P.S. God, thank you for protecting our son and his friend today. We love him with all that we are!
