Humans, including you, will typically do exactly what you expect them to do at some point. Do you know why? It is because you expect them to. When you expect a little one to act up, they more than likely will. When you expect a sales clerk to be rude at Wal-Mart, guess what, they probably will be. Sometimes you may get a pleasant surprise or you may be disappointed but those are the exceptions that prove the rule.
Why don’t we try to something a bit different and expect the best in others as well as in ourselves. Expect others to do the opposite of anything negative and I bet that most of the time it will be a positive interaction.
We should all realize that our expectations have so much influence on how others interact with us. If we change our expectations for the positive just imagine the impact our own expectations have on ourselves. So beginning right this second begin expecting the best of yourself because if you do, that is exactly what you will get.
As I say, we are what we think. Negative begets negative, positive begets positive and each thought, and act reinforces it. Life and our interactions in it can be a perpetuating downward spiral or uplifting and rewarding. It is up to you.
Tonight ask yourself what it is you truly expect of yourself and of others. Now make the choice to expect the best.
Goodnight and God bless each of you and all of those to whom you are connected to or will ever be connected to. I wish each of you your best day tomorrow and each day thereafter.
